Brosnan Klaar was created through the coming together of two companies shaped by the same challenges facing building owners across New Zealand and Australia.
These events accelerated demand for specialist remediation expertise throughout both markets.
Brosnan
Brosnan was established in 2010, in Auckland, with a small team, a strong work ethic and a belief that remediation projects could be delivered differently.
By combining specialist expertise with a client-focused approach, the business quickly developed a reputation for tackling complex projects that required technical capability and careful stakeholder management.
Supporting Christchurch Recovery | 2013
As Christchurch continued its recovery following the earthquakes, Brosnan expanded south and opened a Christchurch office.
The move strengthened the company's ability to support building owners, consultants and communities as they rebuilt and strengthened assets across the region.
Leading Larger and More Complex Projects | 2019
In 2019, Brosnan secured its first project valued at more than $100 million, demonstrating its ability to successfully manage large-scale, technically complex remediation work.
By this stage, the company had established itself as one of New Zealand's leading remediation and construction specialists.

After more than a decade delivering remedial and construction projects, Klaar was founded in 2018 to provide a more sustainable and holistic approach to building renewal in Australia.
From the outset, the company focused on helping owners navigate building defects, compliance challenges and complex remediation requirements while maintaining occupied assets.

Brosnan Klaar Begins | 2026
In 2026, Brosnan and Klaar formally united to create Brosnan Klaar. Combining Klaar's Australian relationships and market knowledge with Brosnan's specialist capabilities, resources and technical expertise, the new organisation was built to support asset owners, strata managers, consultants and developers throughout Australia.
Today, Brosnan Klaar delivers remediation, façade renewal, structural strengthening and asset renewal projects with a singular purpose:
